Six detained for Jaipur blasts

Jaipur : The Rajasthan police have been interrogating six people detained for the serial blasts that rocked the city May 13.

Three people were detained from Baran and three others from Kota, over 250 km from here.

While the police refused to talk about it, home department sources told IANS Sunday that the three people, including two activists of the outlawed Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), detained from Baran Saturday evening were brought here for further questioning by the special investigative team, which is probing the blasts.

The other three were detained in Kota Sunday and were being interrogated there, they said.

On May 13 evening, nine bombs had exploded at eight placed in Jaipur’s walled city which killed 63 and injured over 140.

The police had earlier detained over 18 people for questioning for the explosions. However, they were later released.
