New Delhi : As many as eight people — five insurgents and three army personnel — were killed during an infiltration bid from across the border into Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir Friday.
The incident occurred in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district today, Indo Asian News Service reported, quoting a source in the Indian Army.
Five insurgents, one Indian Army colonel and two soldiers were killed in the incident, the source added.
There have been several infiltration attempts from the across the border into Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir over the last few months, most of which have been foiled by Indian Army.
