Ahmedabad : Four activists of the banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) brought here on transit warrant from a Madhya Pradesh jail were taken to a metropolitan court Saturday.
Kamruddin Nagori, 24, Aamil Qazi Pervez, 34, Asif Hussain, 27, and Sibli Abdul Karim, 30, were taken to the court of judge J.K. Pandya. The crime branch of Gujarat police will Sunday seek 14-day remand of all four, suspects in the July 26 Ahmedabad bomb blasts that killed 55.
Kamruddin is the brother of the main accused Safdar Nagori who was likely to brought here Saturday night.
The four allegedly participated in a terrorist training camp held in January in a forest near Halol in Vadodara district along with Nagori, former chief of the SIMI.
A Gujarat police team reached Madhya Pradesh late Thursday evening seeking custody of the five SIMI activists, including Safdar Nagori.
