Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has claimed that state’s progress is unthinkable without development of trade and industry. He said that Madhya Pradesh is the only state in the country which is devoid of political narrow-mindedness. Here people of all the sections are united so far as development is concerned.
Chouhan was addressing the swearing-in ceremony of new office-bearers of Bhopal Chamber of Commerce and Industries here today. State Congress president Suresh Pachauri was the chief guest while Bhaskar group chairman Ramesh Agrawal presided. Finance Minister Raghavji, Commerce and Industries Minister Jayant Kumar Malaiya and Bhopal Mayor Sunil Sood were also present.
Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh has emerged as the most potential state vis-à-vis investments. He said that the success of Gwalior Investors Meet, held only four months before the assembly elections, goes to prove that a new atmosphere of faith has developed among the investors towards the state. The Chief Minister invited investors of Madhya Pradesh also to come forward to take part in this process.
The Chief Minister also announced to allot land for the office of Bhopal Chamber of Commerce and Industries soon.
At the outset, Chouhan administered oath to the new executive. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the new executive would play an important role in expanding the process of trade and industries’ development. The Chief Minister honoured the chamber’s new office-bearers Harishbhai Mehta, Laeeq Bhai, Vinod Agrawal and Radheshyam Maheshwari.
Suresh Pachauri said that it was need of the hour that political affiliations should not impede process of development. He said that trade and industry has played a major role in making India the third power in the world’s economic sphere and in the matter of foreign exchange reserves. He hoped that the new executive of the chamber would further pave the way of progress of trade and industries.
Ramesh Agrawal expressed pleasure over increasing acceptability of traders and businessmen in the country’s development. He said that it was the opportune time for the state and central governments to increase participation of traders and industrialists by removing their problems.
Chamber’s vice-president Bharat Patel delivered the welcome address.
The guests were welcomed by chamber’s president Kailash Chandra Agrawal, vice-presidents Narendra Singhal and Ajay Sogani, general secretary Deepak Lalchandani, treasurer Shyambabu Agrawal and Shivmohan Agrawal, secretaries Ajit Bafna and Vinod Jain and members of the executive committee Rejpal Singh Bali, Lalit Tated, Rajesh Tated, Sunil Kumar Singhai, Rambabu Sharma, Akhilendra Jain, Shriram Renwl Bansal and Krishnakant Bangar.
