Mumbai bourse revises securities groups

Mumbai : As part of its periodic review exercise, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Monday revamped A and B groups of securities.

The revised group A list of 23 scrips include Bajaj Auto, public sector power lender Rural Electrification Corp, Mundra Port and Patni Computers.

The BSE has shifted 22 scrips from group A to group B.

These include ABG Shipyard, Central Bank, Andhra Bank, Ansal Properties, Deccan Aviation, Dish TV, Engineers India, HMT, IndusInd Bank, Jindal Saw and Moser Baer.

Among others to be shifted to group B were Nagarjuna Fertiliser, Reliance Industrial Infrastructure, TV 18 India and Vijaya Bank.

The groups are drawn up on the basis of the prevailing market capitalisation of companies.
