Monaco : Manchester United’s striker Cristiano Ronaldo was named UEFA European Club Footballer of the Year during the proceedings for the Champions League draw here Thursday.
The Portuguese, currently recovering from injury, scored eight goals in the competition last season. He was also named UEFA European Club Forward of the Year.
Goalkeeper of the Year award went to Petr Cech, Defender of the Year to John Terry and Midfielder of the Year to Frank Lampard, all of whom play for Chelsea.
