Bhopal : The Madhya Pradesh government Saturday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corp (DMICDC) for implementing various projects under the proposed corridor between the two metros.
Madhya Pradesh Trade and Investment Facilitation Corp (Trifac) managing director Praveen Garg and DMICDC director and joint secretary Gopal Krishna signed the agreement, an official statement said.
Under the MoU, the projects which are to be established on priority basis will be identified and a feasibility report will be prepared.
The agreement also envisages identification of infrastructure-related schemes and chalking out of a master plan to get these schemes implemented through public-private partnership.
Trifac, appointed as the nodal agency by the state for the implementation of the MoU, will act as a coordinator to ensure cooperation of the central government, various government departments, consultants and construction agencies.
It will also take steps to provide necessary special facilities and granting approvals, permits and licenses. It will also extend assistance in land acquisition for Early Bird projects.
A steering committee, chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has also been set up for ensuring development of the project in the state, while another committee headed by the chief secretary has been constituted for inter-department coordination, the statement said.
