ICCO Persian language refresher course begins

Tehran : The 63rd round of Persian language and literature refresher course began here at the Islamic Culture and Communications Organization (ICCO) on Saturday.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony which was attended by 40 students and instructors from 40 countries, head of ICCO Mehdi Mostafavi said that Persian language is a valuable asset and a beautiful means for forging a friendly relationship.

“Your interest in Persian language is a good opportunity for not only learning a language but also for knowing about an ancient civilization,” he said.

One of the most important points evident in the Iranian culture is morality and spirituality, he said, adding that the Iranian writers and poets have used the best words and phrases to convey the concepts.

“By learning the Persian language, you will enter a new world, which is full of love and affection,” he said.

Meanwhile, head of the Center for Developing Persian Language and Literature said that the main mission of the poet is to lead the society to morality and a poet who fails to do this is not a poet.

Representatives from Russia, Armenia, Iraq, Ukraine, Georgia, Turkey, Belarus, Azerbaijan Republic, Pakistan, Lebanon, Egypt, China, ulgaria, Syria, Poland and Hungary attended this round of Persian language and literature refresher course.
