New Delhi : The Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) Tuesday expressed regret over the sharp remarks by Kerala Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan after being snubbed by the father of slain commando Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan.
CPI-M general secretary Prakash Karat, who is in Rajasthan for campaigning, said in a statement: “Certain remarks made by V.S. Achuthanandan are regrettable. I have spoken to him over phone from Rajasthan. He has assured that he had no other intention but to go to the home of Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who was brutally killed by terrorists in Mumbai, to pay homage and to condole with the family.”
