“Hafiz Saeed, Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, Abu Hamza and Kahfa are the four who played a prominent role in hatching conspiracy, training the terrorists and executing the plan,” Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rakesh Maria said.

Arrested terrorist Mohammed Ajmal Amir Iman has said that Saeed, the founder of the Lashkar-e-Taiba and charity Jamaat-ud-Dawa, allegedly gave motivational speeches to the group of ten terrorists while they were training in Muridke, Maria said.

Senior Laskhar-e-Taiba functionary Lakhvi, presently placed under arrest by Pakistani authorities, allegedly hatched the conspiracy of carrying out the terror strikes in the city, he said.

“Lakhvi was also present to bid farewell to ten terrorists who left on November 22 from Karachi,” Maria added.

According to Ajmal, the Pakistani vessel Al-Hussaini which was allegedly used to hijack an Indian fishing vessel and sail into Indian waters was owned by Lakhvi, he said.

Hamza and Kahfa allegedly were with the group of ten terrorists throughout their entire training which lasted about a year and a half in four locations in Pakistan, Maria said.

“Kahfa and Hamza were with the group right through the training,” he said.
