New Delhi : The Supreme Court Friday issued notice to the union government on a plea for properly arming policemen to aid them in their fight against terrorism.
A bench of Chief Justice K.G. Balakrishnan and Justice P. Sathasivam issued the notice on a public interest lawsuit by former attorney general Soli J. Sorabjee, seeking arms and ammunitions for policemen matching those of terrorists.
