Close to 50 wives of leading business honchos will make cookies with 10 kg of dough at the hotel premises.

This is being undertaken by “SMILES”, a charity organisation of the hotel, that works with Marion Play Home, an NGO that takes care of poor and orphaned children.

“Once the cookies are ready, they will be first given to around 20 children from the Marion Play Home. And then they would be distributed to other less privileged children,” owner of the hotel John Muthoot told IANS.

He said the chief guest at the event will be state Health Minister P.K. Sreemathi, who will select three paintings from nearly 30 made by children.

“The selected three paintings will then be used by our hotel on the season’s greeting cards for Christmas and New Year,” Muthoot said.
