India asks China to “pressure” Pakistan to curb its terror infrastructure

NEW DELHI, Dec 26 (KUNA) — Indian External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee Friday asked his Chinese counterpart Yang Jeichi to “step up pressure on Pakistan to dismantle the terror infrastructure in its territory.” According to reliable sources in India’s External Affairs Ministry, Pranab had a 30-minute telephone conversation with Yang Jeichi this morning before he met the visiting Saudi Arabia Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal.

During the talks, Pranab told China that Islamabad’s war rhetoric should not divert the world’s attention, the sources told KUNA, on the condition of anonymity.
