Shimla : Himachal Pradesh shivered under an intense cold wave as the minimum temperature in the tribal districts remained below freezing point with Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti district recording 10.7 degrees Celsius below zero, the Met Office said Sunday.
Kalpa in Kinnaur district recorded minus 5.5 degrees Celsius Saturday night, while Una in mid-hills recorded 1.5 degrees C, Bhuntar in Kullu district 1.5 degrees C, and Dharamsala, the headquarters of the Tibetan government-in-exile, recorded 5.3 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature in the capital town of Shimla was recorded at 4.1 degrees Celsius.
