Two Afghanis held in Delhi for suspected terror links

New Delhi : Two Afghan nationals were interrogated by intelligence agencies after they were arrested here for allegedly possessing fake visa stickers and fake consulate stamps, Delhi Police said Monday.

Mohammed Wali, 28, and Mohammed Daud, 40, were arrested from their rented house in Lajpat Nagar of south Delhi Sunday. The police said 21 fake visa stickers of the Afghanistan government, two fake consulate stamps, a laptop and two printers were recovered from them.

Four counterfeit passports – three of Nepal and one of Afghanistan – were also seized from them.

“We are questioning them for their possible links with any terror organisations,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police Ajay Chaudhry.
