The incident occurred around 1.00 p.m. at the LG Crossing in the Surajpur
Industrial Area when Sripal (29), his sister-in-law Kiresh (35) and
brother-in-law Malkhan (38) were going to Dadri on a motorcycle, Noida
police chief R.K. Chaturvedi said.

Sripal was driving while the other two were riding pillion and the trio were
on their way to register a property deed at the sub-registrar office in
Greater Noida, Chaturvedi added.

Near the LG Crossing, four armed men in a Santro car brushed against the
motorcycle, due to which Sripal lost his balance and the three riders fell
on the ground. One of the criminals then attempted to snatch the bag with
the cash from Sripal. He resisted and was shot dead, Chaturvedi said.

When Sripal’s brother-in-law attempted to intervene, the robbers shot at
them too and made off with the money, the officer added.

The trio was taken to a nearby hospital, where Sripal was pronounced dead.
Malkhan was said to be in a critical condition while Kiresh, who sustained
scratches and abrasions on her body was given first aid and sedatives, a
doctor at the hospital said.

named Ankit Rawat. The incident occurred at 10.30 p.m.
