Delhi Police announces reward for catching 13 terrorists

New Delhi : Delhi Police has announced a reward of Rs.100,000 each for information that may lead to the arrest of 13 absconding terrorists, of the Indian Mujahideen militant outfit, who are wanted in the Sep 13 serial bombings in the national capital.

Delhi Police Commissioner Y.S. Dadwal announced the cash reward late Tuesday. The offer will be open for one year, a senior police officer said.

Five serial bombings shook the national capital Sep 13, killing at least 26 people and injuring nearly 100. The Indian Mujahideen, a self-styled terror outfit, claimed responsibility for the blasts.

After the serial blasts, the police shot dead two suspected terrorists in a gun battle in Jamia Nagar in south Delhi Sep 19 and arrested five others.

Later, the Mumbai Police arrested six militants while 13 others are still wanted by the Delhi Police, the officer said.
