Jeddah : The National Registration Centre of Tumors has disclosed that more than 8,000 cases are infected with Kidney failure in Saudi Arabia.
The centre called on to combat the disease through awareness program, education and early detection of disease.
The new scientific study, conducted on 649 patients infected with advanced stage of Kidney cancer are distributed in 101 centers around 18 countries including Arab and Gulf countries, proved that “Avastin” drug is an effective remedy to address the advanced renal cancer cells.
Professor Bernardo Askjoder, Chief of the immunoglobulin therapy and the innovative treatment at the Gustave Rossier Institute in France, who prepared the study and visited the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia several times said that Avastin is a good choice for the treatment of patients with advanced renal cell cancer.
He noted efforts made by the Kingdom to combat cancer diseases through advanced medical centers.
