Islamabad : Pakistani Prime Minister Mohammad Mian Soomro left Friday for an official visit to Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
The visit of caretaker premier is aimed at further strengthening ties, particularly economic and commercial cooperation with these countries.
He is heading an important trade delegation.
The premier will visit Yemen at the invitation of his Yemenese counterpart, the Foreign Office said, adding that during his stay the premier will hold a meeting with Prime Minister Dr. Ali Mohamed Mujowwar followed by talks at the level of the delegation.
The premier will hold meetings with business executives in Saudi Arabia on Sunday and perform Umrah and offer prayers at Masjid-e-Nabavi in Madina Munawwarah.
The visit is aimed at increasing bilateral trade with Yemen and Saudi Arabia and the premier will be meeting importers from these countries for the purpose, said the ministry.
