The victims are the father, mother and one son, while another daughter was wounded and moved to a US military base, told the source.

The US occupation forces slaughtered nine people last Saturday in Iskandariya city, and the government command reported it was accidental.

A US official affirmed the incident and said events are under investigation.

The occupation forces’ bombings and attacks against alleged bastions of the resistance in the last few months have killed over one hundred Iraqi civilians.

In some cases the leading command said it was ready to investigate but has not answered any questions, nor do its explanations match official versions of Iraqi officials, noted the media.

Meanwhile, the Committee for Journalists’ Protection, in its annual report denounced on Monday that Iraq is leading the list of countries in journalists deaths for the fifth time, with 32 only in 2007, about 50 percent of the total.

Since the beginning of the invasion and after this country’s occupation by foreign forces led by United States, over 170 journalists and supporting personnel have died in the course of their duty, according to sources.
