The Lebanon-based Mentor Arabia organization said it plans to organize the training session in coordination with the Kuwaiti Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor starting Sunday and until Feb 14.

The training session involves working with young people and is to be staged within the framework of the provisional Memorandum of Understanding, which was concluded between the two sides in April last year.

Meanwhile, Mentor Arabia’s Planning and Programs Director Joumana Kalot told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that several officials from the Kuwait Health Ministry and the Interior Ministry would take part in the training session with the aim of providing workers in this field with more skills.

This training session is aimed at helping to secure, to young and old in the Arab world, a healthy and safe life free of drugs.

She underlined the importance of cooperation among Arab governments to fight drug addiction and stressed that graduates from the training session would be equipped to help other young men avoid drug addiction and kick off the habit.

Mentor was founded in 2006 and is active in several Arab states.
