Six killed in three road accidents in Jharkhand

Ranchi : Six people have lost their lives in three separate road accidents in Jharkhand, the police said here Tuesday.

In the first accident, a car carrying guests to a wedding ceremony collided with a bus Monday night on the Ranchi-Patna national highway near Hazaribagh, about 110 km from state capital Ranchi. Three members of a family travelling in the car were killed.

The second incident took place on the Ranchi-Jamshedpur national highway Monday evening, in which two people lost their lives. The accident occurred when a truck crushed an auto rickshaw near Tamar block, 70 km from Ranchi, killing two boys travelling in the auto rickshaw.

In the third road mishap, a Maruti van ran over two students near Katatoli in Ranchi Monday afternoon. One was killed and another admitted to the Rajendra Institute of Medial Science (RIMS) in serious condition, the police said.
