The memorandum of understanding (MoU) for liberalising air space was signed between the representatives from India and Bangladesh during the three-day bilateral air services consultations in the national capital that concluded Wednesday.

A press statement issued Thursday said both sides have agreed to further liberalise their air space without any restriction.

In order to facilitate tourism, the airlines of both countries can operate any number of services at 18 tourist gateways in India. However, this does not include metro airports.
