Beirut : Hezbollah party leader Hassan Nasrala on Thursday accused Israel for being the promoter of the attack that claimed the life of Imad Mughniyeh, one of the leaders of that Lebanese movement.
During Mughniyeh’s funeral, Nasrala highlighted the important role he played during the Israeli-Lebanese war in the 2006 arboreal summer, and affirmed the enemy made a crazy thing by killing him.
“Zionists thought that they would defeat the resistance by killing him, but they are wrong, we will keep fighting,” he affirmed.
The funeral ceremony of Mughniyeh, killed Tuesday in a car bomb attack in Damascus, was made at the interior of the Ruwayss plaza of martyrs, in the south of the capital.
The Shiite leader’s death adds to a wave of non-accidental incidents and attacks that have been igniting the political crisis in Lebanon for over a year, turning the country into a powder keg about to explode.
