According to the report, the Israel Air Force has been placed on alert for such a possibility while Israeli army has also bolstered its forces along the northern border, anticipating Hezbollah may launch a massive rocket attack on the area.

However, the army has no specific information about the group’s intentions in this regard.

Meanwhile, Israeli defense officials expressed skepticism over reports saying that Hezbollah has deployed 50,000 men in southern Lebanon, citing that Hezbollah had only several thousand fighters in total.

To date, among the all five Iranian-made drones dispatched by Hezbollah against Israel, which were loaded with dozens of kilograms of high-grade explosives, two were shot down by the air force and one crashed, said the Ha’aretz report.

However, no Israeli official reports have been learnt about the statistics on Hezbollah drones.

Following last Tuesday’s assassination of Mughniyah, Hezbollah’s leader Hassan Nasrallah vowed “open war” to avenge. Meanwhile, in Syria, the investigation into Mughniyah’s assassination continues.
