Tehran : The deputy chief of Iran’s Academy of Medical Science said that Iran ranks 40th in terms of science production in the world.
Reza Malekzadeh added that Iran has recently made great progress in in production of science.
Among the Middle-East states, only Turkey stands above Iran in the field of science, he added.
Referring to Iran’s active international cooperation in the field of science, Malekzadeh said that Iran has scientific cooperation with the US, UK, Canada and some European countries and that such cooperation is to expand in the future.
“To fill the scientific gap between our country and advanced countries, we have to constantly make efforts, make effective planning and heavily invest in various fields of science,” he said.
