Islamabad : PML-N is planning to take back PML House which was captured by PML-Q after dismissal of former prime minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif’s government in 1999.
The PML House is located in Margalla Road. The PML-Q prominent leaders are wrapping their luggage and the future of the staff of the House is also uncertain.
After capturing the PML House the Presidentship of PML-Q was bestowed to Mian Muhammad Azhar, but later deprived him from the slot.
The former chief minister of Punjab and President of PML-Q Punjab Chapter Chaudhry Pervez Elahi played an important role to occupy the PML House.
The PML-Q workers had thrown the pictures of PML-N leaders from the House and tortured the leaders and the staff.
In February 18 elections, PML-N gained majority of seats in both Centre and in Punjab Assembly, the Party leaders are planning to take back the House which they lost in 1999.
Anjam Aqeel Khan, Dr. Tariq Fazal, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, Chaudhry Tanvir Khan and Sardar Naseem Khan have directed the PML workers to prepare themselves and occupy the PML House.
PML-N Secretary General Sardar Muhammad Naseem Khan said that after the defeat of President Pervez Musharraf’s supporters, the party will retake the House.
He said the people of the twin cities have proved through their vote besides PML House, the local leadership will present the gift of four National Assembly seats to PML-N Chief Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
