Islamabad : At least eight people were killed Friday when a roadside bomb struck a bus carrying a wedding party in Pakistan’s volatile Swat Valley, local reports said.
The bride was among the dead, according to Geo TV, which reported that 13 people were killed.
DawnNews TV, however, reported that eight people were killed and 20 injured.
Swat lies in Pakistan’s North-West Frontier Province, where the Army has been operating since October 2007 to flush out armed Islamic militants who have launched dozens of suicide attacks against military and government targets.
