Dhaka : A 125-member contingent of Bangladesh police has left here for Congo to join the United Nations peacekeeping mission, according to a Police Headquarters’ press release reaching here Saturday.
The team, led by Shahidul Islam, left Zia International Airport on Friday night by an UN chartered flight.
Assistant Inspector General of Police (UN Desk) M Ekramul Habiband other senior officials were present at the airport during the team’s departure, the press release said.
