Sydney : India will be competing against Australia as well as history in the Commonwealth Bank Triangular Series here Sunday as they have an abysmal record against the hosts, having lost all 10 in One-Day Internationals (ODIs) played so far.
In fact, India have won only three of 13 matches played at this venue. The wins have come against Pakistan, England and New Zealand in the only matches they have played against these three nations.
But Yuvraj Singh, who seems to have rediscovered his form, has happy memories of the SCG as he had scored a fine 139 against Australia when India last toured here in 2003-2004. He smashed those runs off just 122 balls.
During that knock, Yuvraj was involved in a 213-run partnership with V.V.S. Laxman for the fourth wicket. But their effort went in vain as Australia won that encounter.
