Gaza : A mayor of Palestinian border town of Beit Hanoun on Sunday responded to his Israeli counterpart, saying the Israeli missiles “kill our people.”
If the makeshift rockets that the Palestinian armed groups fire from Beit Hanoun into southern Israeli city of Sderot “cause panic among the residents, the rockets that Israeli army fire on Beit Hanoun kill our people,” said Beit Hanoun mayor Mohammed al-Kafarna.
In an interview with the British paper “The Guardian,” Sderot mayor Eli Moyal proposed a ceasefire with Hamas, which rules Gaza Strip, based on stopping the rockets for the next 10 years. But later, Moyal denied his statements.
Al-Kafarna said that the Israeli army on Saturday killed “a group of people who were amusing themselves in Beit Hanoun.” Healso asked Sderot mayor to watch, on television, the large destruction that the Israeli army caused in Beit Hanoun over the years of conflict.
