According to the security sources, the detentions took place in the towns of Jenin, Nablus and Ramallah.

Israeli sources, meanwhile, confirmed the news, saying the army arrested 12 Palestinians who were wanted by Israel because they were involved in planning or participating in attacks against Israeli targets.

The sources added that the detainees were taken by the Israeli army for interrogation in Israeli detentions facilities.

The detentions took place as Israel intensified air strikes in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip, killing 18 Palestinians so far.

Also on Thursday morning, two other members of Fatah military wing were killed in Nablus during clashes with the Israeli soldiers.
