Leaders of the White Rose Coalition announced that the participants in the protest will take advantage of the television coverage to the celebration, to hold up signs, urging to end the war.

The Californian La Opinion daily highlighted the presence of Cindy

Sheehan, who became one of the most emblematic figures that demand the US soldiers’ return to their home, after his son died in Iraq.

Sheehan has been detained by the police several times, during

demonstrations in front of the Congress and the White House.

Pasadena’s authorities threatened to arrest the demonstrators if the signs they carried prevented the television cameras from taking images of the parade.
