Gaza : A Palestinian citizen was killed and ten others were injured when Israeli warplanes staged on early Thursday a series of air raids targeting the eastern parts of Khan Yunis town, southern Gaza Strip.
According to Palestinian witnesses, the Israeli warplanes launched seven air raids, firing several missiles that targeted civilian positions in the towns of Abasan and Suheyla, in the south of the strip.
They confirmed that ground armed clashes are still ongoing between Palestinian resistance fighters and special Israeli forces, noting that that they left a number of casualties and injuries.
Israeli forces opened fire at medics who were evacuating the injuried from the battle scene to an ambulance, causing heavy damage to the vehicle. Simultaneously, the troops, using bulldozers, destroyed a house in the town.
The clashes were violent, according to witnesses, adding that gunmen of several Palestinian factions got involved in the fighting, resisting the Israeli incursion into Abasan, where air strikes are frequent.
The sources said that a couple the air strikes hit a vehicle that was carrying Palestinian fighters, adding that some of these passengers were wounded.
The Israeli attacks caused, so far, the death of an unidentified civilian and injured 10 others.
Meanwhile, the Israeli warplanes executed, last night, an air strike destroying a civilian car; however, those on board survived a certain death.
Abu-Shab’an, a senior leader in the Committees for the Popular Resistance in Palestine, was also on board.
