PDP Patron and MLA Mufti Muhammad Sayeed and Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussain Baig, as per the seating arrangement, were supposed to sit at Seat No 2 and 3 of first row during the governor’s address.

However, both of them were found absent from the joint session. One of their party colleague and a rebel candidate Ghulam Hassan Mir was also conspicuous with his absence in the session.

Though the reason behind their absence was not known immediately, observers believe that PDP continue to keep its distance from Governor Lt Gen (Rtd) SK Sinha.
