Bhopal: A knowledge sharing session, chaired by Executive Director R. K. Singh and attended by General Managers and senior executives, was held the other day at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, (BHEL), Bhopal unit.
In the session, the strategic map of the unit, recommendations of task-force for modernisation and automation of Print Room and requirements of Information Security Management System were shared.
A presentation on ‘Strategic Map’ was made by Manoj Varma, Sr. DGM (CPX). The status of various activities planned was deliberated. Executive Director desired regular review of strategic plan issues so that there are no slippages with respect to scheduled completion date.
R.P. Nigam, Dy. Manager (TSD) along with Anup Khare, Dy. Manager (IFX) and H.S. Reel, Sr. Manager (IEX) made presentation on the recommendations of their taskforce on modernisation and automation of Print Room. The top management deliberated and decided to adopt Switchgear Engineering model of drawing management in other engineering departments. Executive Director desired that the unit should not lag behind in adopting latest viable good practices but should be a forerunner in adopting such practices.
D. Sen, AGM (IFX) made a presentation on the requirements of Information Management Security System. The ‘Do’s and ‘Don’ts’ with respect to information security were deliberated. He gave practical examples of hacking that have happened in past at national level and suggested for high alertness for security of information.
