Beirut : A Lebanese Shi’a Alim said here Wednesday Islamic Ummah is today going through its most perilous historic era, as global oppression and all corrupt powers have aimed at uprooting Muslims’ culture, security, economy and political systems.
According to IRNA office in Beirut, source of jurisprudence Allameh Muhammad-Hussain Fazlallah made the comment in his message to the Islamic and Arab world Muslims on the occasion of the beginning of the new lunar year, 1429.
He added, “The Islamic and Arab worlds have now entered the scene of the International politics and economics, domineered by the oppressive powers, where the oppressors have urged the Muslims to heed trivial and marginal matters so that they would not be able to play a role in deciding the fate of the world.”
The Lebanese Shi’a source of jurisprudence said, “The reality of Hegira (migration – the milestone marking the beginning of the Islamic history) calls upon us to consider ourselves a part of the migration path, and to beware of our responsibility for constructing our own history anew.”
He added, “The beginning of the new Hegira Year is synonymous with religious hymns reminding us of the martyrdom of the 3rd Infallible Shi’a Imam, Hussain ibn-Ali (PBUH), and his eventful martyrdom, which we need to use as an excuse at the service of Islamic unity, and to refrain from all deeds that might be in the opposite direction.” Fazlallah said, “The Muslims of the advent of Islam trusted us with dear Islam as a precious gem, and we, too, need to do the same, defend our religion, and hand it to the next generation safe and sound.”
