Abu Dhabi : The United Arab Emirates (UAE) would host the World Future Energy Summit here from Jan 21-23, WAM news agency reported Thursday.
The summit, which would discuss future energy solutions, would be attended by a number of heads of state, ministers, scientists and venture capitalists as well as representatives of government and non-government agencies concerned with the environment and alternative energy sources.
It would boost UAE’s image as a world leader in environmental responsibility, said Ahmed Humaid Al Mazrouei, managing director of the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC), sponsors of the summit.
“The summit reflects UAE’s commitment to the environment. Thanks to the directives of President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE has boosted its image as a world leader in environment conservation,” he said.
An exhibition would be held on the summit’s sidelines, during which, more than 200 companies would showcase their latest products in the field of clean energy.
