Legislators elected Khimi Ram as the deputy speaker of the 68-member house and also discussed Governor V.S. Kokje’s address.

Early Friday, the newly elected members took oath on the first day of the session. Tulsi Ram of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was elected speaker on the day.
