Beijing : Indian President Pratibha Patil has been invited to visit China next year, Foreign Secretary Shivshankar Menon announced Monday.
The invitation comes as part of efforts by India and China to step up their engagements at the highest level.
China has also invited chiefs of the Indian armed forces to continue their military exchanges, Menon said.
