Shimla : Thieves broke into the ancestral house of Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal in Hamirpur district, police said Tuesday.
The house is located in a lonely place in Samirpur village, about 160 km from here, and nobody was at home when the incident took place Monday.
“Somebody broke into the chief minister’s house at Samirpur by breaking the window,” said Hamirpur district police chief Asif Jalal.
Dhumal’s family lives in another house in Hamirpur town, a short distance from the village.
The police do not yet know what the thieves took away.
Jalal was summoned by the chief minister and asked to investigate the robbery.
