Abbas condemns Israeli’s continuous aggression into Gaza strip

Ramallah : Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has condemned the massacre committed by the Israeli army incursion into the Al-Shajaeyia district in the Gaza Strip which killed 18 Palestinians and injured more than 50.

Twelve of those injured are in life-threatening injuries, Palestinian medical sources said.

Abbas told reporters here with the deepest grief and regret, that Israel has continued its aggression against the Palestinian people in the West Bank and Gaza, adding that “in every passing hour and day there is a massacre against our people.”

Such criminal acts by Israel will not bring peace in any circumstances, Abbas said during a local ceremony in conjunction with Al-Zaiton (Olive) Tree Day Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the Arab Interim Parliament (AIP) called on the United States administration, the United Nations Security Council, and all international agencies to immediately intervene and stop the Israeli genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

“We call on the US administration to use its utmost pressure on Israel to stop the repeated aggression on the Palestinian people, and work towards achieving peace, security and stability in the region,” it said in a statement in Cairo Tuesday.

In Doha, a source from the Qatari Foreign Ministry condemned the Israeli military aggression against the Palestinians in the Palestinian territories.

The source also called on the international community to share responsibility and preserve security and peace in the Middle East, including a speedy intervention to stop Israeli aggressions.
