Berlin : German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier here Tuesday strongly condemned the latest terror attack on a luxury hotel in the Afghan capital Kabul.
“I condemn in the strongest terms yesterday’s (Monday) attack on the Serena Hotel in Kabul,” Steinmeier was quoted saying in a foreign ministry press statement.
He offered his deep sympathies for the victims of the terror act as well as their families and friends.
The minister added that the attack was also aimed at international reconstruction efforts in Afghanistan.
Steinmeier called for swift arrest of the masterminds of the terror attack which killed at least seven people, among them three Americans, a French woman, a Norwegian journalist and two Afghan guards.
Afghan security forces have reportedly detained four suspects linked to the suicide attack on Kabul’s only five-star hotel.
