Bush was seen off at the airport by King Abdullah and other senior Saudi officials.

During his three-day state in the kingdom, Bush held talks with King Abdullah on the latest developments of the Palestinian issue in light of the outcome of the Annapolis peace conference held in the U.S. late in 2007 in addition to efforts exerted to bring about peace in the region.

Talks also tackled the importance of preserving the sovereignty and independence of Iraq and achieving reconciliation among all Iraqis as well as international efforts to fight terrorism.

Bush flies into this Egyptian resort Wednesday for a brief visit to discuss the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, Iran and bilateral ties with his Egyptian counterpart.

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has said the Palestinian problem would top the agenda of his talks with Bush, while other issues to be discussed include Iran, the Gulf, regional security and Egyptian-U.S. ties. The Egyptian leader said ties with the United States have no problems.
