Perth : Following are the highlights of the second day of the third India-Australia Test at the Western Australian Cricket Association ground:
* Australia’s 212 is their lowest completed innings total after 199 against World XI at Sydney in October 2005.
* Mitchell Johnson (4/86) produced his best bowling performance in five Tests, obliterating his three for 21 against India in the Melbourne Test last month.
* Chris Rogers, appearing in his first Test after playing 104 first-class games, managed just four.
* Michael Hussey, playing in his 21st Test, registered his first duck after aggregating 2,120 runs.
* Symonds (66 off 70 balls at a strike rate of 94.28) registered his sixth half-century in Test cricket.
* The 102-run partnership between Symonds and Gilchrist for the sixth wicket is an Australian record against India at Perth, eclipsing the 71 between Bobby Simpson and Kim Hughes in December 1977.
* Adam Gilchrist’s 55 is his first half-century in 12 innings against India. It was his first fifty against India after his 104 in the Bangalore Test in 2004-05.
