Addressing a press conference here this evening at press club, MLA Sangrama asked the government and people of the state to decide as who should be punished for the “corrupt practices”.

“What makes the ministers wife to make a call to my mother hours before I was going to name the minister before chief minister, he asked adding, “At about 11.30 AM my mother, who was on her way to Jammu from Srinagar, range me up and narrated the telephonic conversation”.

“My mother told me that ministers wife was saying that your son has not done good by raising the matter in LA and threatened me of dire consequences saying her husband was a powerful man”.

Lone said that he never named the minister in the House or out-side but it was revealed to the chief minister only.

“Peeraada Shaib demanded my arrest and I am ready to be handcuffed if the government and the people of the state desire so”, he said.

“I won’t hesitate to be arrested if people of the state and the government deem it fit” he said adding people as wel as government are best judges to decide who should be arrested.

It is understood that one can not speak the truth here as he will be blamed by those having habit of telling lie. “He (Peerzada) is president and will try to harm me” he said.

Lone made it clear that money was taken by the wife of the minister and said, “When I got the file approved by the MOS Manjit Singh I went to Peerzada’s office where his Spl Assistant Dr Mouhidin told me that the file was rejected and can not be entertained”

“Then I thought that the best person to verify was Driver Altaf who on contact assured me that he will request Madam Ji. Altaf later told me that madam has agreed on some discount”.

“Discount which I refer in the house was given 20% and the payment was made and the work was done on the same day” he alleged.

When asked about the contention of the minister that the driver was not attached with him, Lone said that the facts can be verified from the log book.

When asked that how he will prove the facts, he said that no case of such nature can be proved as hundreds of the cases were pending in courts for want of evidence or witnesses.

He said, “I have a logic if he (Peerzada) was not involved then why his wife rang my mother, why they were scared off as their spl assistant have already said that the file was rejected”.
