NEW DELHI, Jan. 22 APP: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference is planning to reopen its office in Capital after it was closed by the Indian government five years ago. The Asian Age reported that the office named Kashmir Awareness Bureau was situated in South Delhi and was very active in disseminating information.
The daily said APHC leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has been actively working to unite all the Kashmiri leaders. A Kashmiri leader Sahbbir Shah has been persuaded to end the “factionalism” after all his conditions were met.
The daily said a letter had also been written to JKLF leader Yasin Malik and veteran leader Ali Shah Geelani to come into the fold of APHC in the interests of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Contact between the Union Government and the Kashmiri leaders is minimal at present. Yasin Malik, Geelani and Sajjad Lone are the three prominent leaders out of fold of APHC who have the ability to gather the masses, it added.
