Ramallah : Thousands of Palestinians rallying up on the borders between Egypt and Gaza with the aim of getting food and fuel supplies from Egypt amid a breached border for the third day.
Eyewitnesses told KUNA that hundreds of Egyptian security forces line up on the borders to prevent Palestinians from crossing over to Egyptian territories.
Small-scale clashes erupted between the two sides, eyewitnesses said.
Since the early hours Friday, Egyptian security forces have been calling on the Palestinians stationed in the Egyptian side to return home.
Last night, Israeli Deputy Defense Minister Matan Vilnai caused a stir when he said Israel gradually wants to relinquish responsibility for Gaza now that a border fence with Egypt has been blown open.
Over the past couple of days, Palestinians have gotten food supplies from the Egyptian side as all market shops in Gaza were mostly empty as a result of the Israeli blockade.
