New Delhi : A major fire broke out at a five-star hotel in the Indian capital Saturday, authorities said. There were no immediate reports of casualties.
The fire was noticed at around 12.50 p.m. on the ground floor of The Grand hotel at Vasant Kunj in south Delhi. Thirty fire tenders battled “the serious” blaze, a fire official told IANS.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Shalini Singh told IANS that there was no report of any causality. The cause of the fire is not known.
