Merkel: No need for pessimism when faced by difficulties in int”l markets

Berlin : German Chancellor Angela Merkel asserted here on Saturday that despite the difficulties faced by the international capital markets, there is no justification to fall into the trap of pessimism but should look forward to more optimism.

This came in the “electronic message” published by Merkel’s weekly page on the Internet.

Merkel noted that the phenomenon, which currently is felt in capital markets, is a characteristic of the characteristics of a free market economy which requires dealing with it with wisdom and calm.

Merkel underscored the importance of providing the necessary conditions for the consolidation of financial markets, noting that it is not a significant base to register positive economic growth for Germany, but also to global economic growth.
